The Green Diani
Colobus Conservation Center
The center provides programs for education and rehabilitation of both the monkeys and the forest, their aim is to ensure they can continue to look after the colobus and other species like the vervet, sykes and baboon.
Upon arrival you will be introduced on the project through a short documentary followed by a conservation talk.
A guided walk will be arranged within their property that will showcase the different species that are trained on how to live wild.
The tour will end at the gift shop.
Kinondo Sacred Forest
A dense forest on the edge of Diani Beach Area.
The forest is sacred to the Digo people as they use it for traditional prayers and ceremonies
A small stretch of the Kaya Kinondo forest remains untouched and a guided forest walk will be arranged to learn more about their beliefs.
Hugging a tree in the forest helps rejuvenate and offers a sense of calmness.
